Maintenance Technician Position Available In Guilford, North Carolina

Maintenance Technician Matthew Dutton Associates Greensboro, NC 27403 We are partnering with a leading global packaging manufacturer in High Point, North Carolina, who is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. As a key member of the maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the facility’s equipment and machinery. Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform routine preventive maintenance on production machinery to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity. Respond quickly to breakdowns and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

Work Orders & Safety:

Complete work orders promptly and in compliance with company standards. Follow safety protocols and ensure that all work meets company, state, and federal regulations, including OSHA and GMP.

Collaboration & Training:

Work closely with the Director of Maintenance and assist in coordinating projects. Provide training to junior technicians on maintenance procedures and best practices.

Equipment & Inventory Management:

Maintain an inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring that necessary components are available when needed. Requisition materials as required.

Vendor & Contractor Management:

Assist in overseeing external contractors and ensure their work complies with all safety and quality standards.

Problem Solving:

Analyze mechanical systems, identify potential issues, and proactively resolve problems to improve equipment reliability.

On-Call Support:

Be available for on-call maintenance support when necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance role.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.

Safety Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to train and mentor others effectively.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Teamwork & Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive, safety-focused workplace culture.

Accountability:

Strong sense of responsibility and dependability in fulfilling duties and maintaining equipment.
