Job DescriptionUnder general supervision, the maintenance technician is responsible for advanced maintenance and technical support for facility repairs and production equipment to ensure minimal operational downtime. In this role you will support the production team, by providing training and guidance on mechanical issues. This role will also be accountable to perform the Preventive Maintenance to our equipment as per the PM schedule. This role will be B Shift, 4:00pm – 2:00am, Mon – Thur.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance support for facilityInstalls, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
Troubleshoot and repair production equipment in order to reduce machine downtimeLocates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Prepares maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains a safe and clean and organized work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Follow all policies, procedures, and management systemsIdentify, develop and execute solutions for process improvements and inefficienciesSet priorities for preventive maintenance and emergency equipment repairs Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical informationLead and / or participate in special project work on equipment upgrades or installationsPrioritize activities and able to execute multiple tasks simultaneously Support and mentor safety initiatives in compliance with state and federal standardsPerform all duties in full compliance of all laws, safety and environmental regulationsOther duties as assigned
