Maintenance Technician Elite Resources Premier Staffing Charlotte, NC 28214
Position Overview:
Elite Resources is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a global leader in the production of hot-melt adhesives for industrial applications. This role is critical to ensuring optimal operation of manufacturing equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining the safety and reliability of our production processes. The position works on a rotating shift schedule (days and nights) to support 24/7 manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and plant systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment failures. Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment issues and recommend solutions. Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and upgrades. Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reduce downtime. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies and procedures. Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and quality teams. Participate in on-call support and emergency repairs when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, PLCs, pumps, motors, conveyors, and hydraulics/pneumatics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and reporting. Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and under pressure. Commitment to safety and quality.
