Commercial Building Maintenance Technician General Position Description:

 SCS is seeking candidates for a position as a full-time Commercial Building Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance, diagnosis, repair, and installation services to an individual building. SCS operates as a full-service maintenance provider for a variety of commercial clients. The selected candidate will provide building engineering and general maintenance services in a commercial office environment. This will require the development and use of skills as they relate to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, carpentry, troubleshooting, and primarily tenant relations. Responsibilities and Skills Responsible for the day-to-day building operations including responding to tenant requests for service, performing repairs and maintenance of building systems Maintain positive communication with building tenants. Evaluate, prioritize, respond and follow up on tenants’ requests and problems. Perform repairs and adjustments to all building systems including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, electrical and finishes. Inspect and maintain property’s overall appearance. Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and client representatives. Ensures requests for work that exceed routine day-to-day repairs or maintenance, are properly referred and routed to the Maintenance Supervisor for review Completes all required paperwork within established deadlines to closeout work orders Requires the use and updating of work-order management system. (Building Engines) Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with tenants, clients and vendors. Work in a safety-conscious environment. Required Qualifications 2-5 years of applicable experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
