Description Community Housing Partners Corporation (CHP) is looking for an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team! As an Apartment Maintenance Technician, you will enjoy: Competitive pay: Starting at $18 per hour, based on experience plus OT and the potential to earn a 2.5% incentive bonus. Day Schedule with some nights or weekends: Monday through Friday – 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with an on-call schedule. The company contributes 3% regardless of an employee’s contribution. This is a 40-hour-per-week position. Job Summary The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing interior and exterior maintenance and other duties that assure residents a safe, comfortable, and attractive residence. The Maintenance Tech I responds to service calls promptly (generally 24-hour turnaround time) and assists the other Maintenance staff to repair and maintain all buildings, fixtures, resident spaces, electrical and mechanical equipment, and appliances for safe and appropriate functionality always. This position is a fundamental member of the customer service team and must have demonstrated commitment to customer care to maintain a high level of resident satisfaction. A high degree of reliability and regular attendance and punctuality are required to maintain efficient operations and provide quality service to residents. Employee must possess/maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record consistent with current CHP insurability guidelines and must provide their own reliable transportation to/from work. The employee must possess:

Ability to access crawl spaces and confined areas to access building systems for repair. Ability to lift/carry/manipulate moderate to heavy loads on a daily, recurring basis (such as snow removal, window AC, etc.) Ability to hear machine/safety alerts and communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel crouch, and climb ladders or steps to reach objects and perform work. Ability to traverse grounds including rough, uneven, or rocky surfaces and multi-level properties which may not be equipped with elevators. Ability to withstand exposure to noise, dust, or commonly present environmental chemicals or fumes Proficiency with a variety of common hand and power or motorized work tools including but not limited to mowing equipment, weed eater, trimmers, etc. The ability to work in a variety of weather conditions with frequent, daily, extended exposure to the outdoor elements. Must be over 18 years of age to meet FLSA Child Labor Law Hazardous Occupations Guidelines Must work on-site at the property to perform the duties of the position.
