Statewide Education Requirements:
High School Diploma with two years of maintenance experience. General skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and preventive maintenance and or certificate in HVAC.
Experience Requirements:
Candidate must have experience in conducting home inspections, construction and home maintenance, Microsoft Office applications and databases, preferably in a professional office environment. Prefer having experience working with people with disabilities. Must be able to sustain a large amount of travel, including overnights, and schedule and manage large amounts of information successfully. Organizational and planning skills with an ability to effectively prioritize work tasks is a must.
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician Lead will provide general directions and leadership to the Maintenance Technician team relating to the repair and maintenance of properties and grounds. Effectively plan and organize work and complete tasks within prescribed timeframes. Together with the team will perform routine inspections and maintenance of designated housing properties. The candidate will coordinate, schedule and follow-up on all HUD, REAC and NCHFA inspections as necessary, ensure compliance with various local, state, and federal regulations, and help respond to tenants’ needs as they arise. Responsible for maintaining company vehicle inspections and maintenance. Will work closely with management and Property Inspectors to resolve property issues as they arise. Collaborate and present recommendations to Housing Chief Operations Officer on short and long-term general maintenance objectives and procedures.
