Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician . This is a full-time position, with benefits effective immediately upon hire. •

REQUIRES WEEKEND, OFF PEAK HOURS RELATED TO FACILITY MAINTENANCE TASKS DELEGATED BY SAFETY OFFICER

•Reports to Facility Safety Officer. Works with Facility Safety Officer to: Identify and conduct community (external) and center (internal) assessments of high risk and problem prone areas via hazard vulnerability analyses related to environmental and safety risks among patients, teammates, physicians, other independent practitioners, contract workers, volunteers, students, and visitors. Whether a fire protection system impairment is preplanned or occurs under emergency conditions. Maintain Center Regulatory and Accreditation Survey readiness through monitoring of: Employee workplace and environmental safety Assures Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is available for use by all healthcare workers Assures PPE is properly utilized by all healthcare workers Life Safety Completes quarterly life safety survey Completes monthly fire extinguisher check Assures preventative maintenance of life safety systems occurs as scheduled Cooperates with local and state authorities in maintaining safe environment Security Monitors exterior of facility on ongoing basis for potential security issues Hazardous Waste Monitors handling and proper storage of biohazardous waste in accordance with OSHA and state regulations Utilities Management Monitors medical gas storage for safety, leaks, and hazards Monitors generator according to established policy Monitors mechanical areas/equipment for safety, hazards, and function Assures preventive maintenance for mechanical equipment occurs as scheduled Equipment Management Monitors completion of biomedical equipment preventive maintenance for timely completion. Monitors equipment removed from service is appropriately stored until safe for patient use. Medical Staff Rules & Regulations Key Responsibilities :

Responsible for mechanical operations which includes boilers, chillers, towers, tanks, motors, exhaust fans, air handlers, compressors, transformers, generator, humidifiers, and water treatment systems, as well as fire suppression, and medical gas equipment and components. Responsible for maintaining all fire suppression equipment including sprinklers, smoke detectors, duct detectors, mag locks, fire panels, and related components. Responsible for managing and maintaining all medical gas systems. Performs all preventative maintenance functions of equipment and systems on a prescribed basis. Performs all minor plumbing and electrical repairs. Assists in construction-based projects within the facility. Maintains proper record keeping standards in accordance with regulatory bodies. Performs maintenance and care of the hospital grounds, including landscaping requirements. Orders product supplies upon management approval. Orchestrates contractor work based upon project needs throughout the facility Routinely cleaning debris from outdoor gutters

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent. One year of maintenance experience is required. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.
