Maintenance Technician Position Available In Wake, North Carolina

Maintenance Technician Boxcar Bar + Arcade 330 West Davie Street, Raleigh, NC 27601 Boxcar Bar + Arcade is looking for a Maintenance Technician at our Raleigh, NC location to handle all areas concerning the facility maintenance, preventive maintenance, janitorial and beautification projects. The ideal candidate has a background in facilities maintenance and an understanding of the operational and functional needs of a high volume bar. Hourly $18.00 – $20.00 per hour based on experience.

Job Qualifications:

Intermediate proficiency (or higher) in trades including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical work, welding and code compliance. Experience with kegs, keg coolers, beer draft line maintenance and cleaning. Demonstrate strong time maintenance, multitasking and self management skills to ensure the timely completion of projects. Possess knowledge of fire & life safety regulations as well as OSHA regulations. Good communication skills including the ability to provide clear and concise details regarding all facility issues to the General Manager and upper management. Have a valid Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation

Job Responsibilities:

Complete any projects that are assigned by the General Manager and/or upper management. Perform thorough daily inspections of the entire facility including exterior to identify necessary repairs or issues. Report all facility issues that are not immediately repairable to the General Manager. Respond to any “on call” emergencies including weekends and nights. Ensure the exterior of the building is properly maintained including landscaping, alley, trash collection and first impression areas. Travel locally to storage unit, hardware stores,etc.; as well as travel to other Boxcar Bar + Arcade locations to assist in various projects with or to fill in for fellow Maintenance Technicians. Maintain up-to-date records of repairs, inspections, warranties, invoices and other appropriate operational contact information. Make knowledgeable and informed purchasing decisions relative to maintenance supplies maintaining proper inventory, storage, and operation of equipment and supplies. Inspect and provide direction and follow-up with custodial cleaning service. Complete necessary janitorial tasks outside of the custodial cleaning service. Assist in decorating for special events, projects and holidays. Monitor the Employee Maintenance Log and respond to requests in a timely fashion.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to be on your feet for 8 hours a day. Ability to erect and stand on ladders and platforms at heights up to 30 feet. Ability to safely work with paint, cleaning equipment, chemical compounds, solvents, cleaners, and solutions in dry, liquid, powder, spray, and aerosol forms. Ability to paint, clean equipment, and operate motorized equipment as needed. Ability to perform essential maintenance to the facility and equipment which may involve, but not be limited to the following activities: full-reach overhead; crouching; kneeling; shoveling; carrying, working in narrow and/or confining spaces; twisting of the waist, shoulders, and legs; and lying on stomach and/or back.
