$39,671 – $69,426 The Challenge We are looking for an experienced Maintenance/Construction Technician III to join our Facilities Maintenance team. In this role, you will: Resolve facility maintenance issues in
NCDOT & NCDMV
buildings managed by our Facilities Management team. What You Bring Excellent knowledge of building codes. Ability to perform journey-level in 2+ trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, masonry, or plastering). Working knowledge of the methods, practices, tools, and materials used in general maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery. Working knowledge of the methods, principles, and techniques used in maintenance, including electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, roofing, locks, windows, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Experience supervising the work of skilled or semiskilled contractors. Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and estimate repair costs. Computer experience preparing and maintaining routine records and reports. Notes We may require you to work at other facilities as directed by our Supervisor or lead mechanic. Unscheduled overtime may be required during emergencies. You will be subject to emergency and after hours call backs to assist with building emergencies after hours, weekends, and holidays. You will be expected to be present at work during bad weather. We may require you to become certified by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician. Education & Experience High School/GED Diploma, and 2+ years of relevant experience in complex mechanical or building trades; or An equivalent combination of training and experience. Questions?
