Maintenance Technician 2.0 2.0 out of 5 stars Goldsboro, NC 27530 Job description We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of unit turns, fulfilling work orders, and preventative maintenance. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. T This is a 40 hr. per week position. Work hours are from Mon-Fri 8 am-5 pm. Responsibilities Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed Fix/Change Locks Install/Repair window coverings Caulking Repair/Replace Drywall Inspect and Coordinate all make-ready repairs with the Site Manager Remove, transfer, and replace heavy appliances Assists in keeping grounds neat and free of litter Assist in unit inspections with the Site Manager Must have the ability to select appropriate materials needed for the property Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. maintaining the cleanliness of the property) and other tasks as assigned Must be aware of the condition of apartments and the overall property and immediately initiate action to correct unsafe conditions Maintain consistent workflow of the maintenance building, including cleanliness and organization. Performs on-call emergency service as requested. All emergency after-hours calls must be responded to immediately, and the service person on call must have the ability to arrive at the property no more than an hour after a call comes in. Completes all service requests within 24 hours, unless the request requires extraordinary parts or labor. Must possess a basic set of tools
