Summary:

BCW ITo perform independent cleaning, custodial or janitorial duties associated with the care, cleaning, and maintenance of multiple buildings/facilities for the State of New Hampshire Veterans Home; may include assignment to multiple units, areas, locations.

BCW IITo serve as a team or crew lead, and/or shift point person and to independently provide a full range of cleaning, custodial or janitorial duties associated with the care, cleaning, and maintenance of one or multiple state facilities, buildings, grounds, or institutions; may include assignment to multiple units, areas, locations, or districts.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

COUNTSEach additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

Minimum Qualifications:

BCW IEducation:

Completion of eighth grade or its equivalent.

Experience:

None required. Relevant work experience may be substituted for required formal education.

License/Certification:

None

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

For promotion from Building Cleaning Workers I, pay band 1, to Building Cleaning Workers II, pay band 2, employees:

Must have completed at least six months (full-time) or one year (part-time) of employment as a Building Cleaning Workers IMust receive a satisfactory performance evaluationMust be approved for promotion at the discretion of agency management to satisfy organizational/business needsMust receive a recommendation
