Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for the daily maintenance, repair, and upkeep of campground facilities and grounds. This role performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for campers and visitors. The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and groundskeeping, and is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate has a background in small engine repair and golf cart maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician must have the ability to install, service, replace, and repair the following items in a responsible and professional manner that meets company standards. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on buildings, cabins, restrooms, and campground infrastructure Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Maintain roads, picnic areas, playgrounds, and recreational facilities Operate and maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment such as mowers, chainsaws, and weed wackers Assist with monitoring water and waste infrastructure Respond to maintenance work orders and emergencies in a timely and professional manner Ensure cleanliness of public areas including restrooms, showers, and pavilions Assist with seasonal setup and closure of campground facilities Utilize work order system to record of work completed, materials used, and inspections Support special events and campground programs as needed Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or technical certification preferred 2-4 years of relevant experience in facilities or campground maintenance Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and safety guidelines Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team Valid driver’s license Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various weather conditions, and perform manual labor Availability to work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed
Preferred Skills/Certifications:
