Maintenance Technician Position Available In Coos, New Hampshire

• Role Overview:

• As a Maintenance Technician, you will undertake maintenance and other tasks at the direction of the Facilities Manager to ensure our greenhouse facility’s smooth and efficient operation. From performing preventative maintenance to diagnosing and repairing equipment, you will play a key role in helping our business succeed.

• Key Responsibilities:

• Performing regular inspections, cleaning, and upkeep of the facility and its systems
• Addressing minor and major repairs to building systems, equipment, and infrastructure, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC
• Scheduling and performing preventative maintenance on systems and equipment to extend their lifespan and prevent breakdowns
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory
• Ensuring the facility meets safety standards and addressing any safety concerns
• Coordinating with other departments, contractors, and vendors for maintenance and repair work
• Responding to emergencies and building system failures
• Performing tasks such as patching walls, painting, changing light bulbs, and maintaining exterior grounds
• Maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and other equipment
• Performing landscaping tasks such as mowing, trimming trees, and snow removal
• Utilizing work order systems to track and manage maintenance requests
• Assisting with budget preparation and cost estimation for maintenance projects
• Other tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager or Management team.

• Requirements:

• Technical Skills:

  Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems

• Problem-solving Skills:

  Ability to diagnose and resolve maintenance issues

• Communication Skills:

  Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients

• Physical Stamina:

  Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and climbing

• Safety Knowledge:

  Understanding of safety regulations and procedures

• Work Experience:

  Prior experience in maintenance or related trades

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
