Position Summary:

Responsible for the proper maintenance and repair of all property and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections of all facility – related equipment and systems; makes repairs and adjustments as necessary.
• Performs moderate to complex electrical repairs and modifications. Performs moderate to complex plumbing repairs and modifications.
• Performs moderate to complex general carpentry.
• Performs general painting. Assists with all aspects of landscaping.
• Keeps the supervisor informed of any problems or issues.
• Resolves problems that are within the position’s scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.

Position Qualifications:

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED certificate plus two years’ similar work experience; or, four years’ work experience; or, a combination of work and education may be considered.
• Working knowledge in these areas, the list may not be all-inclusive: HVAC, electrical equipment, plumbing, commercial kitchen equipment, basic repairs, painting, and wallpaper.
• Ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels and varied light levels including flashing lights.
