Plant Engineering Facilities Mechanic IV role will bemaintenance of infrastructure and services supporting BAE’s (NHQ)South Nashua Facility located in Nashua New Hampshire.

Thesuccessful candidate will be part of a Plant Engineering Team thatmaintains and operates building infrastructure consisting of avariety of industrial spaces. These include Office Areas, ClosedDoD Space, Clean Rooms and Specialty Labs. This role will reportdirectly to one of the Plant Engineering Site Supervisors.

Supportspace planning; moves, adds & changes.

Responsible for coordinatingand executing personnel moves as needed.

Operates forklift or handtrucks as required to move supplies.

Installs, moves and removes avariety of light, medium and heavy equipment using special toolsand equipment such as staging, hoists and rigging. Erects andsecures staging, hoists and rigging in compliance with codes andsafety practices.

Installs, maintains and dismantles a wide varietyof facility equipment. Must be capable of working from blueprints,equipment drawings, schematics and manufactures specification andliterature.

Works independently with limited instruction to completeassignments, renovations, fit-ups or repairs. Must be capable ofperforming periodic maintenance inspection on all types offacilities infrastructure and equipment.

Must have a great customerservice demeanor and be capable of working with outside contractorsand vendors.

Interfaces with local project management, plantengineering, and contractor to obtain, furnish, and/or exchangeinformation as necessary for efficient and effective completion ofrequired project tasks.

May be required to participate on specialteams including but not limited to: snow removal, emergencyresponse and must be responsive to off-hour emergencies andparticipate in an on-call rotational roster to support off houremergencies.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills High School diploma, or GED, and at least four (4) years ofgeneral maintenance/construction experience. Must have the ability to walk, bend, stoop, balance and reachfor extended periods of time. Must be comfortable with and capable of occasionally working atheights. Requires indoor as well as outdoor work in varying temperaturesand weather. May be required to lift at least 50 pounds.

Preferred Education,Experience, & Skills Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance level Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested. Carpentry including instalation and repairs of sheetrock,framing, floor tile and carpet, painting, acoustic cieling’s, andmasonry. Install/ Repairs of doors, hardware and locks. Support Sustainability and energy management initiatives. Must be able to operate within a computerized maintenance workorder system. Qualified candidate must be able to log work performed, providea brief explanation of the problem and summarize what was replacedand or repaired..

However, individual salaries are determined by avariety of factors including, but not limited to: businessconsiderations, local market conditions, and internal equity, aswell as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, andexperience.
