Applicants must be self-sufficient in safely performing preventive and reactive maintenance activities on various equipment and machinery. Potential candidates will be expected to interface with multiple teams and individuals throughout the company to ensure adequate communication and progress with assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:

Perform and record scheduled maintenance activities on various production equipment in various environments as per documented procedures in a controlled database Support other maintenance staff. Perform basic service, troubleshooting and installation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment Completing, handling and entering maintenance related documentation in to controlled database. This task is done on daily basis and requires from candidate to be efficient, patient and systematic. Inspect work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal safety policies and regulations Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production and facility equipment Perform all activities in a safe manner, comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas 5S and continuous improvement activities as part of a cross-functional team On daily basis, candidate will be responding to variety of requests from different groups including Engineering teams, quality teams, environmental teams, production etc. Prioritizing and scheduling tasks is very important. Handling of maintenance related materials, supplies and spare parts. Communication with vendors and outside contractors as neded.

Requirements:

High school graduate or GED equivalent Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with installation or maintenance of manufacturing equipment General computer knowledge is essential including good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Word. Knowledge of Excel is desirable. Previous use or knowledge of any production software is welcome (on daily basis, candidate will be involved with storing and editing many different files related to maintenance, ordering of materials and spare parts, vendors and outside contractors). Must show ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and technical documentation to perform service. Knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings is desirable. Experience with troubleshooting and installation of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment is preferred. Candidate must have good knowledge of how to use hand tools and power tools. Controlled environment (clean room) experience is ideal but not requirement Written and verbal communication abilities are critical. Ability to proficiently learn, understand, and troubleshoot equipment, solve problems, and recognize opportunities for process improvements Willingness to undertake various tasks and adapt to unexpected situations within dynamic company environment Multitasking is part of daily activities.
