The Facility Maintenance Technician provides facility support and helps schedule / coordinate / perform maintenance and repair of equipment and systems including, chillers, HVAC, fire detection and suppression, plumbing, gas and electrical systems. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assures regular utility system operation and maintenance including, HVAC and process cooling systems, plumbing, lighting, CDA system, fire protection systems, backup generators, clean room filtration, facility hardware and industrial lift trucks. Assists in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Works with other teams to support facility construction and renovations and support of the installation of Optical Fiber manufacturing processes, Fiber Assembly and Material Handling Operations Assists in the implementation and maintenance of Process Support Infrastructure Assists with the installation of new production and production support equipment delivering it ready for commissioning phase Performs basic carpentry, masonry, and painting and plaster work to maintain the facility in 1st class condition. Performs regular facility maintenance and maintain maintenance logs, and any other documentation necessary to the completion of a task. Maintains Hazardous waste practices, and instruct team in how to dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established OSHA procedures. Assures snow removal by contractors is sufficient and assist where required. Will be a key member of the site safety committee

Desired Skills:

Basic Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Drywall repair, painting. Hazardous waste coordination Computerized systems to monitor facility functions and properly diagnose problems or facilitate repair contractors. Construction execution support Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the field Ability to respond to emergencies off hours, weekends holidays if necessary. Good Computer Skills (Microsoft based programs) CAD knowledge a plus. Experience working with cleaning, HVAC, landscape and other contractors.
