Key Responsibilities:
Install residential and commercial garage doors and openers, including all associated components (tracks, springs, cables, etc.) according to manufacturer specifications. Troubleshoot and repair garage doors and openers, addressing issues such as broken springs, damaged panels, faulty openers, misaligned tracks, and other mechanical failures. Perform routine maintenance services including lubrication, adjustments, and inspections to ensure proper function and safety of the garage door system. Provide excellent customer service by explaining issues, presenting solutions, and answering any questions the customer may have. Ensure customers are satisfied with completed work. Must demonstrate exceptional adaptability and versatility, seamlessly transitioning between field and office environments Follow safety protocols and local building codes during installations and repairs. Ensure that all work is completed safely and with minimal disruption to the customer. Maintain accurate records of all work completed, including parts used, labor hours, and any other relevant information. Submit invoices in a timely manner. Maintain and transport necessary tools and materials for each job. Ensure inventory is stocked and organized Serve as the leader of the sales process to ensure customer satisfaction Providing job estimates (service, remodels, and installations) Meet with customers at home, providing solutions to a wide variety of garage door needs
Requirements:
Proven experience as a garage door technician, installer, or similar role (minimum 3 years preferred). Experience in sales. (Not required but very helpful) Strong knowledge of garage door systems, including springs, openers, tracks, rollers, and cables. Ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of issues with garage door systems. Familiarity with installation procedures for both residential and commercial doors. Possess an exceptional work ethic Must provide your own tools and equipment for installation and repairs. Ability to work independently and manage your schedule effectively. Excellent customer service skills and communication abilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, estimating software Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs) and work in various weather conditions. Valid driver’s license/reliable vehicle and clean driving record. A strong attendance record Willingness to learn and teach other members of the team
