Full-Time A leading food manufacturer in the Northern NJ area is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. This role plays a critical part in keeping production equipment running efficiently, supporting food safety and quality operations, and minimizing downtime. What You’ll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, conveyors, packaging equipment, and pneumatic tools Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and control panels Fabricate and replace mechanical components using shop tools, welding, and machining equipment Support inventory management and order replacement parts Ensure all equipment complies with safety, GMP, and food quality standards Train operators on basic troubleshooting and maintenance best practices Maintain accurate repair logs and communicate equipment needs across shifts What You Bring 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting (food or packaging preferred) Good electrical troubleshooting skills (PLC, VFD, HMI) Hands-on mechanical repair experience (bearings, motors, belts, gears) Ability to read schematics, technical diagrams, and manuals Experience with high-voltage systems and safety protocols (LOTO, PPE) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and meet physical demands of the role Why Apply Competitive pay and long-term opportunity Fast-paced environment with hands-on work Opportunity to work with modern equipment and contribute to a growing team salary: $52,000 – $62,400 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM – 4
