General Function and Essential Responsibilities:

The position we are seeking must be able to perform skilled work on the Liberty Lake facility and grounds which includes light construction work, handy-man skills, carpentry, the operation of electric-powered and gas-powered groundskeeping equipment and machines, and the use of power tools or equipment in planting, and painting. Must be able to work on groundskeeping equipment and tools, including a small tractor and skid-steerer. Besides the above, there is general labor involved in running a 60 acre facility, with hundreds of guests at a time. 1. Perform regular grounds and landscape maintenance. 2. Perform tasks to maintain a clean facility and activity areas throughout the day. 3. Perform tasks with for pool chemical or other facility chemicals. 4. Perform general maintenance and repairs. 5. Remove trash and debris from public areas. 6. Safely operate light vehicles when trained, such as pick-up trucks, tractors, or riding mowers and portable power tools and equipment such as saws, grass trimmers, snow/leaf blowers, sprayers, paint machines and other groundskeeping equipment. 7. Ensure that maintenance equipment is operational by performing routine and preventative maintenance and cleaning of tools, equipment and machines. 8. Perform painting work in the preparation and maintaining of building structures, walls, woodwork, furniture, and equipment. 9. Perform custodial services in offices, lavatories, restrooms, etc. 10. Quickly identify and address any facility related safety issues encountered, communicating with supervisors when necessary. 11. Contribute to the overall success of the organization by performing any other related duties as assigned. Required qualifications / characteristics Ability and desire to work outside in all weather conditions. Ability to lift 75 pounds without issues or health concerns. Ability to stand, sit, squat, twist, and work on feet all day. Experience with power tools, hand tools, lawn equipment. Fluent in English (read, speak, write) in order to follow directions and complete tasks in a timely manner. Written and oral communication skills is a must. Maintains a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance. Dependable. Follows set time schedules. Ability to interact positively with co-workers and patrons. Availability some weekends . Desired qualifications and characteristics Driver’s license Physically fit, and strong enough for labor duties Experience with heavy machinery, like a small tractor, loader, and skid steerer A good sense of personal accountability Location The location for this role is at our facility, which is located in Mansfield Township (Columbus), with a Bordentown address.
