Operations and Maintenance Technician 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars Lakewood, NJ The Operations and Maintenance Technician in Lakewood, NJ is responsible for ensuring the safe operation of plant equipment, monitoring boiler water chemistry, and maintaining plant equipment throughout the facility. This individual is directly accountable for both preventative and corrective maintenance of mechanical systems within the plant, completing tasks in a flexible work environment. They must take necessary actions to ensure the safe, cost-effective, compliant, and reliable operation and maintenance of equipment. This role involves supporting both Maintenance and Operations within the facility, making informed decisions for the overall care and control of the plant. This includes working rotating shifts. Provide input to the O&M Manager on work plans and directions Demonstrate high performance, accountability, and safety Diagnose mechanical system problems Conduct routine inspections and tests Repair, maintain, and install mechanical systems Interact with contractors and assist during outages Operate various plant equipment In addition, the Technician will maintain inventory, comply with EHS policies, efficiently operate the facility, and prioritize job tasks. They must be able to work independently, communicate effectively with colleagues, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power plant.

Education/Experience Required:

High school diploma or equivalent with five years of power plant experience in operations and/or maintenance, including Control Room Operator qualification.
