The above reflects the anticipated hourly range for this position if hired to work, The Compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate’s educational background, skills and professional experience, Job Summary Performs a variety of semi-skilled jobs to maintain the hospital buildings, equipment and furniture in good repair, Operates boilers and controls generation of a continuous supply of heat to maintain the hospital with heat and hot water, and supply power to machinery and auxiliary equipment, Essential Job Functions Performs all preventative maintenance as scheduled, Performs and maintains daily inspections of all hospital utilities equipment, life safety items and pool, Makes repairs to maintain the Building and equipment in accordance with Building codes and legal requirements, Keeps and maintains accurate records in log books and daily timesheets, May be called in on nights and weekends when emergencies occur or during snow, ice storms, Adheres to company policy regarding proper use of Dash Cams, which assist in the protection and safety of persons and property, prevention or detection of criminal offenses, and potentially driver training, Performs other duties related to work of the department as assigned, I, E, , On call, weekend coverage, etc, Keeps area safe and clean, Formal Education and Job Related Experience At least one year vocational training in one of the major or equivalent trades, At least two years experience in the related trades or maintenance positions, Certification None License Valid Drivers License, Education and Experience Additional Comments None Job Specific Contacts Regular contact with personnel of departments, contractors and vendors, Physical Demands Daily exposure to dirt, dust, grime, Frequently works in cramped, unlit and or unventilated areas, Frequent exposure to cuts, abrasions, burns and or injury from power tools, occasional exposure to falls, May be exposed to inclement weather, Working Environment Additional Comments Stands and walks most of the day, Lifts and carries light to heavy weight equipment and supplies, Physical stamina, good eyesight and ability to distinguish colors, Able to work under emergency conditions calmly and quickly, Job Provides Direction To None Additional Comments None RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
