Job Description
New Journey, a Genesis10pany, is seeking a Facilities Technician for a 6 month contract position with the potential for a contract extension or conversion.

Compensation:

$21.50 per hour
The main function of a Facilities Technician is to provide general maintenance support for the assigned buildings.

Job Responsibilities:

Monitor the facility to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
Troubleshoot power, HVAC system and controls, and mechanical systems.
Maintain general & preventative maintenance, carpentry, plumbing systems, and vendor management.
Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.
Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials, as requested.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required.
0-2 years experience required.
Bes familiar with the equipment managed by the team and the methods required to use them properly. This includes fire/life safety, HVAC, Critical Power, plumbing, security, PA, and other building related equipment.
Delivers mail and packages.
Perform daily, weekly, bi-weekly and monthly inspections of emergency lights, fire extinguishers, and safety eye wash stations.
Must have an understanding of the importance of following PM schedules.
General basic interior and exterior maintenance – plumbing, filter changes, painting and patching, fixture installation, lighting.
Recognize andplies with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas and equipment.
Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one time.
Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
