Maintenance Technician Position Available In Broome, New York

Maintenance Technician Family Enrichment Network, Inc. 24 Cherry Street, Johnson City, NY 13790 Maintenance Technician ensures that facilities and equipment are in safe and good condition, oversees the regular upkeep of building and grounds, performs repair tasks at and assembles items as needed. Responsible for repair and maintenance of all systems. Able to operate snow plow and snow removal equipment and lawn/landscape equipment. Daily maintenance and repair tasks, and daily inspection of building and grounds. Works within a team to plan and carryout major maintenance projects. Prioritizes work orders and ensures completion. Oversees monthly fire alarms and safety exercises as required by Federal, State, and local regulatory bodies. Becomes familiar with regulations concerning apartment rentals. Inspects all buildings and grounds for safety and compliance with regulations to ensure safety. Develop and implement a facility management program including preventative maintenance and life-cycle requirements Conduct and document regular facilities inspections Maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment Implement best practice processes to increase efficiency Oversee environmental health and safety Respond to facility and equipment alarms and system failures. Provide prompt response to requests and issues from Housing Connections Staff Develops and follows through on a preventive maintenance program for buildings and grounds, arranging for necessary supplies. Requisitions necessary building and grounds supplies. Paints interior surfaces as requested. Responds to Maintenance Requests orders in a timely fashion. Responds to emergencies. Assembles projects/materials at all sites. Arranges delivery of supplies. Helps unload trucks and distribute supplies. Cleans hallways and common areas in building. Snow removal and salting of Agency property by 9:00 AM during the week days and with heavy snow fall coming in on Saturday and Sunday. Maintains agency lawns and landscaping. Cleans and prepares apartments when we have tenant turnover. Responds to building emergency calls as necessary.
