Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift NutraBlend Foods 3805 Walden Avenue, Lancaster, NY 14086 SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production equipment along with routine maintenance of the plant facilities and grounds according to OSHA and Nutrablend Food’s safety standards. The Production Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield. Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems. Additionally, Production Maintenance Technician prepares technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues. Assists higher-level technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for the safety and security of the building and grounds. Inspect alarm systems and assume responsibility for the fire safety of the building Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment, understand and comply with workplace safety regulations Highly skilled role in which you will troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, and repair malfunctioning equipment used in manufacturing processes. Inspect manufacturing equipment routinely for signs of malfunction, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises, electrical and mechanical outages. as appropriate Help to Train employees on proper equipment usage Inspect facility for needed repairs and repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, compressed air, steam and electrical systems Ensure compliance with certifying authorities Able to work independently or with other team members in an effective manner Perform peer-to-peer inspections on work performed by other technicians Perform preventive maintenance tasks Complete required documentation in a timely manner Other duties and/or projects as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor

PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Two year technical degree or 2 years related work experience Knowledgeable in the areas of electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, carpentry, general maintenance and filling line equipment Experience in Food Manufacturing preferred Excellent mechanical aptitude Attention to detail Communicates well Knowledge and understanding of all tools needed to perform job
