The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational functionality of educational facilities, ensuring a hygienic, safe, and welcoming environment for all occupants This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, including commercial and industrial cleaning, floor care, and general maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities Cleaning and Maintenance :

Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.

Restroom Sanitation :

Ensure restrooms are cleaned and stocked with necessary supplies, including soap and paper products.

Waste Management :

Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables according to school policies, ensuring proper separation of materials.

Minor Repairs :

Conduct minor repairs and maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, and unclogging drains.

Safety Inspections :

Regularly inspect facilities for potential safety hazards and report any issues to maintenance or school administration.

Event Setup :

Assist in the setup and teardown of school events, including arranging furniture and equipment as needed.

Grounds Maintenance :

Perform basic outdoor maintenance tasks, such as litter pickup, snow removal, and gardening duties when necessary. Experience Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required. Experience in facilities maintenance or industrial cleaning environments is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. Good communication skills to interact with staff, students, and visitors effectively. Problem-solving skills to address cleaning and maintenance challenges as they arise. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
