Maintenance Technician Position Summary:

Roman Catholic Diocese of Rochester is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team in Rochester, NY. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all facilities located onsite at the property, as well as maintaining a service vehicle fleet of three vehicles and assisting with repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to perform work efficiently and responsibly, have a great attitude, and be a team player.

Requirements:

Completion of high school or GED. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record. A minimum of one year of related experience. Strong organizational skills with a high level of customer service focus. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of personnel. Knowledge of common hand tools and their use. Follow safety guidelines at all times. Be willing to work flexible hours including weekends. Be willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, repair, and install plumbing fixtures, fixtures systems, and equipment including sinks, toilets, showers, bathtubs, tubs, jetted pools, spas, water heaters, range hoods, water heaters, etc., and other common appliances.
• Provide advice regarding electrical repairs including replacing light bulbs, light switches, etc., repairing wiring and installation of new fixtures. Install new security system systems as needed. Install new HVAC units as needed and replace registers as needed.
• Maintain fire alarm systems; install new fire protection equipment as needed; maintain fire suppression systems; install new life safety equipment as needed; maintain emergency lighting systems; etc.

$20.00 – $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
