Job Description
Maintenance Technician – 10192 HumanHire Roslyn Heights, NY 11577 HumanHire is working with a prominent aerospace components distributor to help find a Maintenance Technician to join our team and support the upkeep, repair, and troubleshooting of shop equipment and mechanical components. This is a hands-on role that involves both preventive maintenance and precision repair work. Ideal candidates have experience maintaining lathes, mills, grinders, and other mechanical systems, and enjoy solving mechanical problems with a hands-on approach.
We offer:
$30-$40/hr based on experience plus OT, 401k, PTO, benefits, and more Monday-Friday, 9AM-5
PM Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
Perform repairs on mechanical tools, assemblies, and shop equipment Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble high-precision components Troubleshoot issues on manual machines and perform part retrofits or adjustments Conduct regular preventive maintenance on equipment such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and air compressors Support machining and operations teams by keeping equipment in top condition Use measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure accuracy during reassembly Read and follow technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
3+ years of hands-on mechanical or maintenance experience Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical systems and rotating equipment Familiarity with shop equipment: manual lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc. Able to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals Preferably experience with Swiss CNC Lathe machines Prior background in precision repair or tool/machine retrofitting Knowledge of pneumatic or hydraulic systems is a plus If you’re interested learning in more. please apply with your resume and a Recruiter will contact you about your candidacy within 24 hours.
