Lead Maintenance Engineer Job Description We are seeking a qualified and dependable Maintenance Tech to join our Facilities Maintenance team. This is a working lead position for a hands-on technician with strong skills in HVAC, building systems, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate is capable of performing a wide range of skilled tasks while also helping coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations. A strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), mechanical systems, and sequences of operation is essential. Responsibilities Repair and maintain HVAC systems, including boilers, air handlers, pumps, FPB’s, and related controls. Perform electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs, including wiring, fixtures, drains, toilets, patching, painting, and flooring. Use and interpret Building Management Systems (BMS) to monitor building performance and troubleshoot system issues. Apply knowledge of equipment sequences of operation to perform advanced troubleshooting and ensure system efficiency. Utilize hand and power tools effectively and safely. Perform emergency and routine maintenance tasks across the facility in a timely and professional manner. Lift and move materials or equipment up to 75 pounds as needed. Provide leadership and support to the maintenance team. Assist with prioritizing daily tasks and ensuring timely completion of work orders. Essential Skills High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building maintenance or a related trade. Strong hands-on HVAC experience, including troubleshooting and system diagnostics. Proficient with Building Management Systems (BMS) and interpreting system data. Solid understanding of mechanical sequences of operation and how they apply in real-time maintenance and repair. Proficient with general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license and reliable transportation. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 – $38.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
