ROLE SUMMARY
Fluent is looking for a Maintenance Technician I to assist and learn from our senior-level technicians. The Maintenance Tech role is responsible for helping the Maintenance team perform various maintenance, sanitation and repair activities to machinery, equipment, and facility. This position performs several maintenance functions in and around the facility, including providing routine, emergency, and scheduled/preventative maintenance to the building and associated equipment, as well as groundskeeping work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate with and assist the maintenance team with preventive maintenance and repairs and other tasks as assigned Monitor operation and proper use of all equipment and systems Properly document start and completion of assigned tasks using Monday.com tracker Maintain grounds, including but not limited to lawn maintenance, landscaping and snow/ice removal Help maintain irrigation systems and troubleshoot electrical issues Utilize, maintain and keep track of power tools and mobile equipment. Conduct daily visual Inspections inside and outside of the facility Basic plumbing repairs such as plugged sewer lines, urinals, commodes, faucets and water valve. Inspect, repair, and replace or install equipment/machinery such as fans, dehumidifiers, railings, lights, drives, doors, ramps Maintain a clean and organized work environment Report damages, defects and other issues to the Maintenance Manager Inspect facilities and equipment to ensure company standards and safety regulations are being maintained Adhere to compliance with health and safety standards and company policies and procedures Conduct regular sanitation duties, including but not limited to vacuuming and mopping floors, cleaning surfaces with disinfectant, emptying trash cans and recycling bins, cleaning restrooms, and other general cleaning duties Maintain cleaning inventory, work with manager to place orders when needed Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and scrub floors throughout the facility Clean and maintain breakroom, office areas, and facility in general Restock and replenish supplies as appropriate Make sure that all GMP and SOP paperwork is filled out neatly and correctly Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the facility Collaborate with other maintenance workers as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Desire to learn new skills in maintenance Some knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and building equipment. Basic knowledge of computers and printers A high level of self-awareness, receptivity to change, and integrity Energy and enthusiasm SKILLS Excellent communication, time management and organization skills Attention to detail is essential in this position. Skilled in using basic tools Will be trained on the safe use of power tools, wrenches, and other shop equipment Capable of operating Forklifts and scissor lifts Must be able to work independently with minimal direction and exercise independent judgment. Demonstrate integrity and dedication and have a positive work attitude and strong work ethic. Able to accurately follow multi-layered written/oral instructions. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including MS Outlook Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment. Self-driven, reliable, and hardworking Ability to work both in a team and independently with excellent interpersonal and communication skills Regular attendance is essential to be successful in this position
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in or around cultivation and manufacturing environments. This role routinely monitors and repairs cultivation processing equipment and occasionally uses office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk, maneuver up and down ladders and stairs; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to individually lift up to 50 lbs. This position also requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, and other physical demands and the ability to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This position may require some overtime as company needs arise. Availability to work holidays is essential. TRAVEL Travel is primarily local during the business day.
REQUIRED
EDUCATION and
EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 1 year of maintenance and general repair experience is a plus but on the job learning will be provided
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Per state law, must be at least 21 years of age. Must pass a drug screening Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
