The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills and experience in maintenance and repair tasks. This role is essential for ensuring that properties are well-maintained, safe, and functional. The Handy Person will work independently and as part of a team to complete various projects, providing high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. We are looking for a Handy Person with at least 1-2 years of experience in residential repairs. Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or property managers. Install fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored properly. Communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines, progress, and any additional needs. Collaborate with other tradespeople as necessary to complete larger projects. Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used. Qualifications Proven experience as a Handy Person or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of general maintenance techniques and methods. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and HVAC systems is desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients. Valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites.
