Job DescriptionThis position plans, directs, and coordinates the repair and operation of the facilities and equipment serviced by outside & inside resources, e.g. overhead cranes, forklifts, etc. allowing the Morgantown site to meet delivery commitments, all quality and fixed practice requirements and financial commitments, to reach safety goals, and to continuously improve their operations
Essentials Functions:
Schedules and monitors the work of various outside resources in the repair and maintenance of equipment and building structure, ground maintenance, drainage systems, water, and sewer systemsResponsible for the effective operation of the following equipment and systems: overhead cranes, mobile equipment, compressed air systems, emergency generators, bulk gas systems, process gases, water treatment systems, water/sewer systems, cleaning services, grounds services, snow removal, building structural, security systems, fire suppression equipment, scales, chains & slings, overhead doors, propane & diesel fuelDevelops standard operating and manufacturing procedures as related to facilities & applicable equipmentMaintains departmental budget to achieve cost management goals, and initiate or participate in cost reduction and/or profit improvement programsGenerates, participates in, and manages various projects related to site capacity expansions, new technology, and/or equipment-based process improvementsCollaborates with plant personnel and outside resources to set-up and maintain an effective preventive maintenance program; identifies and partners with several outside resourcesDrafts reports documenting operational performance, achievements, projects, training, and maintenance repairsApplies continuous improvement efforts and activities to processes, equipment and maintenanceEnters requisitions into SAPWork closely with purchasing for bids and quotes to ensure best value for cost
Education and Experience:
4 year degree in mechanical/electrical fields preferred10-15 years in manufacturing experience.10+ years of increasing responsibilities within an industrial manufacturing organization.10+ years of hands on mechanical skillStrong leadership skills; demonstrated competency in the supervisory and technical skills required to fulfill the position’s responsibilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels.
Strong computer skills (MS Office).RelocationRelocation is authorized for this position.
