MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

National Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Products, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of commercial refrigeration equipment for the food services industry and heating and air conditioning equipment for multi-family dwellings. We have three manufacturing facilities in Bensalem, PA. We are currently in need of an additional industrial maintenance technician.

JOB DUTIES

Maintains and repairs industrial equipment and machinery throughout the facility. Diagnoses/troubleshoots malfunctions in machinery/equipment in a timely manner to minimize downtime. Provides exceptional customer service in all interactions with other departments. Stays late to complete the work at hand, when necessary. Communicates with OEM’s Technical Services department. Requisitions adequate numbers of spare parts, and keeps inventory of same. Performs daily, weekly, monthly and maintenance work including regular preventative maintenance. Performs general building maintenance tasks, as required. Assists in installation and dismantling machinery or equipment. Maintains cleanliness and organization of work area.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Degree or certification from a technical school or trade school is preferred 3-5 year’s of hands-on experience in a similar role. Education and experience must be related to one or more of the following systems: Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Electrical. Must be able to read, understand and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, safety manuals, operations manuals, etc. Must be able to communicate effectively with coworkers, vendors and management. Must be willing and able to work overtime, as needed. Drivers License is required as travel between local facilities is often necessary. Proficiency with computers and software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES

The ability to stand/walk on concrete for duration of 8 hour shift. The ability to reach hands above shoulder level. The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crouch. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
