Job description Sugaright in Fairless Hills PA isseeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for Nights/Days. Thisis an opportunity to get in on the ground floor and help us grow!

Job Purpose Summary:

Provide maintenance support to the plantactivities in repair, maintenance and installation of machines,tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of buildings, grounds, andutility systems. This includes performing preventative maintenance,repair, and upgrades to optimize efficiency, increase productivity,and assure safety. Openings on multiple shifts. Essential Functions(include but are not limited to)

  • Provides emergency/unscheduledrepairs of production equipment during production and performsscheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment duringmachine service.
  • Inspect and maintain the operating productionmachinery and equipment in a manner that conforms to Local, State,and Food Safety Standards.
  • Follow the company’s guidelines forGood Manufacturing Practices when performing the requirements ofMaintenance Mechanic.
  • Examine, inspect, repair, or replacecomponents, including
PLC & PID

controls, to maintain operationalstandards and efficiencies of the company in all areas needed.

  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to performrequired maintenance and service.
  • Assist Plant Manager ontraining and indoctrination of workers to improve work performanceand acquaint workers with Emergency and Preventive Maintenance onproduction machinery and equipment.
  • Industrial Electricalexperience is a MUST.
  • Familiarity with 480V three phase power isa requirement.
  • MIG and TIG welding, sanitary welding experience aplus
  • Safely and properly set up and operate tools and machineryrequired to maintain production machines and equipment.
Maintainand repair all production equipment:

pumps, high pressure pumps,dryers, valves, etc.

  • Maintain and repair all support equipment:boiler, air-compressors, air conditioning units, wastewater meters,water meters, etc.
  • Must have a working knowledge of andexperience in plant maintenance operations.
  • Handling of chemicalsfor support equipment operation. Chemical testing of boiler feedwater, condensate, cooling tower water, plant process water.
  • Daily utilities reading.
  • Fabrication and manufacturing ofequipment for production needs; product and process piping,sanitary equipment, steam lines, chemical lines, pneumatic lines,etc.
  • Documentation of all schematic and diagram changes to keepplant record current.
  • Must be able to work with a minimum amountof supervision in all key areas.
  • Responsible for reporting dailywork orders and activity reports.
  • Responsible for all work beingdone in a timely fashion and done properly.
  • Responsible for thecare and maintenance of company tools.
  • Must have the ability totroubleshoot problems and be persistent until a solution is found
  • Report immediately to Safety Manager, Maintenance Manager,Operations Manager or Shift Coaches of any damage, irregularactivity, or unsafe conditions concerning equipment.
  • Follow GMP’sand SQF Standards.
  • Follow all safety and working rules.
  • Musthave the ability to get along with co-workers, managementpersonnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with thecompany policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious andconducive work environment.
  • Maintain a positive attitude andcontribute towards a quality environment.
  • Excellent regularfull-time attendance in support of company objectives.
  • Performother duties as assigned by management.

OvertimeRequirements:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School diploma orequivalent, and more than three years’ experience with maintenanceof production machinery, electricity, and pumps. Preferred

  • Certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenanceor equivalent work experience in a manufacturing, productionenvironment preferred and completion of a craft apprenticeship, oran equivalent number of years of education and plant facilitymaintenance experience.
