Brief Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician IV is responsiblefor performing ongoing corrective, predictive and preventativemaintenance for the process equipment within the assigned operatingarea. This position also could entail the execution of setup andchangeover support for all process equipment used in variousclassified areas up to a Class 100 aseptic environment. This rolerequires the ability to perform mechanical and electricaltroubleshooting to ensure optimal operation of the processequipment. The Maintenance Technician IV will also perform basicmechanical training to Production Operators and serve as a resourceto help implement continuous improvement projects. The MaintenanceTechnician IV reports to a Supervisor, Maintenance. JobResponsibilities Complete emergency repair, rebuilding, changeoverand inspection work on process related equipment. Install, inspect,test, adjust, repair and perform line turnarounds, changeovers, andpreventative maintenance per established procedures in a timely andefficient manner. Troubleshoot the following Automation systems;PLCs, HMIs, SCADA. Ability to interpret diagrams, drawing, PLC codeand other schematics. Complete documentation and required functionsin the work order system to close out activities in compliance withcGMPs. Responsible for equipment and system performance throughdata monitoring within the assigned operating area. Use a varietyof testing, tools, and measuring equipment in the efficientmaintenance and troubleshooting of electronic, environmentalmonitoring, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical line equipment.
Provide training to operators for equipment set-up and for minoradjustments or repairs. Install new equipment and oversee equipmentupgrades according to site SOPs. Perform 5S activities and maintainorganization of operating areas. Perform work requirements in aresponsible manner, in accordance with SOPs, cGMPs and establishedsafety procedures in accordance with OSHA requirements andguidelines. Be familiar with “Material Safety Data Sheets” for areachemicals. Perform batch record and GMP documentation entries.
Maintain records and/or logs as required in performance of jobresponsibilities. This will include mathematical computation whereneeded. Work with minimal supervision under the direction of theMaintenance Facilitator, Process Facilitator, Engineer, or otheractivity leads. Perform roles of Technician and MechanicalTechnician as required to support daily PET activities. Utilizeappropriate Problem Solving and Troubleshooting techniques tocomplete equipment repairs. Follow and maintain compliance withestablished MRO procedures and inventory control. Serve as aproject resource to PET to assist in the follow up and timelyimplementation of projects and validation activities Responsiblefor maintaining Aseptic Processing and Gowning certifications asrequired to support assigned work areas. (Area Dependent) Performcleaning and housekeeping activities for assigned areas as requiredto maintain a cGMP environment. Perform other similar and relatedresponsibilities as assigned by area management. Some overtime willbe required with prior notice to support business needs. Emergencyovertime may be required with little notice to ensure operation ofequipment within the manufacturing.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in a regulated production environment, specificallyresponsible for equipment maintenance and performance Experiencewith some of following Automation systems; PLCs, HMIs, SCADA,Rockwell Inductive (Ignition) Aveva (Wonderware), Siemens, Emerson(GE) or B&R Must have the ability to effectively understand,read, write, communicate and follow instructions in the Englishlanguage. Ability to lift and handle equipment change parts,tooling, and materials associated with equipment maintenance andrepair. Proficient with Computerized Maintenance Management Systemssuch as Maximo or SAP.
Preferred Background:
High school graduate,vocational school graduate or equivalent Associates in Engineeringor a related discipline or equivalent mechanical trade schoolgraduate preferred Previous experience with automated equipmentpreferred Training in mechanics, hydraulics, electronics andtesting equipment in electrical and/or mechanical troubleshootingKnowledge of data and materials maintenance systems such as SAP,KRONOS, or other MRP systems Experience with OEE, TPM, LEAN orother Continuous Improvement systems Resilience is an EqualEmployment Opportunity Employer. Our target base pay hiring range forthis position is $28.50 – $46.50 per hour.
