Job Description
Maintenance Technician 1 Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art Chadds Ford, PA 19317 BASIC
FUNCTION
Aids in the maintenance of all Brandywine Conservancy & Museum of Art buildings and properties, including indoor maintenance and repairs, and grounds work, including grass cutting, snow removal, and trail maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Grounds maintenance and trail restoration, including mowing, weed whacking, trimming, blowing, etc. 2. Occasional light painting, carpentry, plumbing and other maintenance and repair tasks as assigned. 3. Handles daily inbound and outbound mail; transports packages and material between campus buildings as required. Transports trash and recycling to central dumpsters. 4. Assists events and custodial staff with event setup, tear down, and event custodial tasks as needed. 5. Supports service request response, troubleshooting, and coordination of necessary repairs by contractors.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. Must be self-motivated and willing to work in a team-oriented environment. 2. Must be comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments. 3. Must be able to lift at least 60 lbs. 4. Must be able to push a lawn mower and operate associated lawn care equipment. Previous grounds maintenance experience is desired. 5. Must be able to shovel snow and use a snow blower/plow. 6. Must be willing to work occasional off-hours to assist with events coverage. 7. Must be able to climb at least four flights of stairs. 8. Must be able to climb a ladder, bend and kneel. 9. Must have reliable transportation to and from the workplace and to such other sites as may be necessary. 10. Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be checked periodically on all employees where driving is a part of their job. The MVR will be reviewed to ascertain the employee holds a valid license and their driving record is within the parameters set by company management.
Salary:
$17-$18.90 depending on experience.
