Overall Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Technician is a key team member of the Maintenance Department. This position is primarily responsible for installation, troubleshooting maintenance repairs and scheduled preventative maintenance of loading and packing machines and plant facilities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Install and setup machines and equipment Establish and perform preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment and facilities Routine inspections of machinery and equipment to determine adjustments and repairs needed Troubleshoot and repair down production and building equipment Support production with changeover and product setup/startup

Education Requirements:

High school diploma or GED preferred 3-7 years previous maintenance experience Vocational or technical degree/certificate preferred

Qualifications and Experience:

Industrial equipment background preferred Food Processing experience preferred Knowledge and experience with pneumatic systems required Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring as it relates to machinery and equipment Ability to trouble shoot AC and DC electrical components Understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling Ability to obtain Fork Truck certification Experience with hand and power tools Previous supervisory experience preferred Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electro-mechanical equipment Blueprint, sketch layout, wiring diagram, drawing and specification interpretation skills Basic Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel, PM Program and MRP skills Knowledge of FQS and GMPs preferred

Must be able to work as team and achieve company goals Good hand eye coordination Manual dexterity and electro-mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 50 lbs 20/20 vision either with or without the aid of corrective lenses Tasks will require standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing Tasks will require the use of hand and arms, reaching and repetitive motions Must be able to work extended hours and a flexible schedule on short notice
