Description for Internal CandidatesAs a Mechanical Maintenance Tech you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex production equipment with minimum supervisionEnhance equipment performance, recommending improvements and implementing.
Able to Fabricate and Weld using MIG, TIG, STICK, Plasma cutter, and Oxy-AcetyleneWorking knowledge of piping, valves, pumps, hydraulic systems, chill water systems, gas systems, pneumatics.
Able to perform maintenance and facility repairs and improvements with minimum supervision or direction.
Works from drawings, written or verbal instructions and sketchesBe able to troubleshoot and identify mechanical problemsOperate production equipment and check performance as requiredPerform installation, set up, modification and relocation of equipment to accommodate, or to improve production requirementBe strong on PM (preventative maintenance) procedures (capable of meeting standard PM completion rate of 98% or better)Have proficient knowledge in use of computerized maintenance management system.
Ensure all job-related operations are in compliance with safety requirements.
Perform lock out/ tag out procedure 100% of the time on machines/machines being servicedPerform other duties as requested by ManagerWork in a safe manner, obeying all health, safety and environmental regulations. Report all unsafe acts and conditions to Managers/Supervisors and the Joint Health & Safety Committee. Understanding hot permits, confined space permits LOTOContribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeepingThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
WE are looking for you to offer the following:
Previous relevant maintenance experiences in manufacturing environmentStrong Mechanical training and troubleshooting experience required.
Ability to effectively use computers and other technologyAbility to work at heights and in enclosed spaces.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbsAbility to stand for long period of timeRead, write, understand and communicate effectively in EnglishAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionExcellent attendanceCapable of operating forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts.
