PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Purpose Statement Perform installation, preventative, routine, and repair maintenance tasks on electronic, electrical, and mechanical equipment as well as diagnose problems in order to minimize downtime and repair costs. Job responsibilities and tasks Production maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, installation, and repair of equipment, machinery, and operating systems through interpretation of drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams as well as the use of electronic knowledge and troubleshooting techniques. Maintains and repairs robotics, computer numeric control (CNC) consoles, programmable controllers and related apparatus as well as utilizing electronic theory and troubleshooting techniques. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance involving mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, programmable controllers and electronics/electrical equipment. Maintains, installs, and repairs equipment, machinery, and plant facility’s electrical/electronic systems through interpreting schematics and/or wiring diagrams and efficient use of electronic testing and measuring instruments. Assist in the installation of equipment in capital and facility projects. Maintain inventory of maintenance shop supplies. Must be able to communicate with all levels of staff, work independently or as a team, and keep area clean and orderly while maintaining 5S standards. Education, professional experience and qualification preferred/required Technical Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance Proficient in reading and interpreting complex drawings and schematics Experience with the use of precision measuring and test devices and possess solid math skills Must have basic knowledge with Microsoft Office Packages Maintenance Technicians
