We are inviting you to apply for the Kitchen Equipment – Maintenance Tech position. As a Kitchen Equipment- Maintenance tech you would be responsible for ensuring all kitchen appliances and related equipment are functioning efficiently and safely to support the food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct routine inspections and scheduled preventive maintenance on all kitchen equipment. Identify potential issues before they cause equipment failure.
Equipment Repairs:
Diagnose and repair malfunctions in commercial kitchen appliances such as ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, steamers, and mixers. Replace worn or defective parts
Emergency Support:
Respond to urgent equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure kitchen operations continue smoothly.
Installation & Setup:
Assist in the installation and proper setup of new kitchen appliances and equipment. Ensure all new equipment meets safety and performance standards.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all equipment meets local health and safety codes. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs for compliance audits.
Inventory & Parts Management:
Monitor spare parts inventory and place orders as needed. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Collaboration:
Work closely with chefs, kitchen managers, and engineering teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption to operations. Communicate effectively regarding the status of repair and maintenance needs.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed service logs and reports.
Skills Required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and kitchen gas appliances. Problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and wiring diagrams. Familiarity with refrigeration systems (a plus). Understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards. Communication and teamwork skills.
