Role:
The Pool Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall functionality of public swimming facilities. This position involves regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of pool equipment and systems to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all users. The technician will be responsible for monitoring water quality, chemical levels, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Additionally, the role requires effective communication with facility management and patrons to address any concerns or issues that may arise. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Basic knowledge of pool maintenance and water chemistry.
Certified Pool Operator Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in pool and spa maintenance. Previous experience in a similar role or in public facility maintenance. First Aid and CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections of pool facilities to assess cleanliness and equipment functionality. Test and balance water chemistry, including pH and chlorine levels, to ensure safe swimming conditions. Perform maintenance and repairs on pool equipment, such as pumps, filters, and heaters. Document maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management promptly. Educate patrons on pool safety rules and best practices to enhance their swimming experience.
