58 + $.50 shift differential As a Maintenance II Mechanic you will be responsible to perform all phases of plant maintenance. This consists of mechanical, building & grounds, electrical and electronic repairs utilizing precision maintenance skills. Your responsibilities:
Perform Departmental precision Maintenance by completing work orders during Maintenance days. Perform Preventative and Predictive Maintenance on equipment as required. Perform general buildings and grounds repairs as necessary. Monitor and repair General plant equipment such as Air compressors, Dryers, Boilers, etc.
Essential skills and experience:
The ability to use basic welding and cutting tools. Knowledge of equipment and machinery typical of the grain processing industry. Knowledge of Packers, Conveyors, Labelers, Palletizers and Stretch wrapping machinery. Knowledge and understanding of 480V / 3PH electricity. Knowledge and understanding of PLC’s with the ability to read ladder logic.
Good to have:
Experience with carpentry, fabrication and plumbing. Ability to install ductwork, spouting, and other sheet metal work as required. Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation): Must be able to climb and work at heights to 130ft. Must be able to tolerate outside year-round weather conditions. Must be able to work in environments typical of grain processing facilities.
Other considerations:
A hands-on skills assessment will be administered to ensure adequate knowledge in the above requirements. Strong competency must be coupled with the right behaviors to be successful on our team. Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
