This position is crucial for maintaining the smooth and safe operation of equipment and systems throughout the plant. You’ll take on a variety of responsibilities ranging from troubleshooting and repairs to preventative maintenance and collaboration with cross-functional teams. What You’ll Do Perform routine inspections to identify and address mechanical or electrical issues. Troubleshoot and repair a variety of production and packaging equipment to reduce downtime. Follow technical documents, blueprints, and wiring diagrams for accurate repair and maintenance work. Replace worn or damaged parts and reassemble machinery to restore function. Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance on systems including hydraulic, pneumatic, and ammonia refrigeration. Install and maintain electrical components such as wiring, relays, and control panels. Work with other departments to diagnose complex technical challenges. Use welding and fabrication tools when needed for structural or equipment repairs. Ensure all maintenance work supports plant safety, food quality, and operational efficiency. Respond quickly to alarms or unexpected equipment failures. Keep detailed maintenance records and ensure compliance with company standards and safety guidelines. What We’re Looking For High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferred. 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance; food industry experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, pneumatics, and hydraulics. Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and automated systems is a bonus. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
