As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be directly responsible formaintaining and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems in afood processing environment. Responsibilities:

Visually inspect machinery andequipment for defects such as breakage or excessive wear. Repairproduction or processing equipment. Specialize in troubleshootingand repairing modern automated equipment. Troubleshoot and analyzecomplex problems, implementing proper remedies while ensuringadherence to all safety guidelines and regulations. Listen forunusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions.

Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineeringstaff to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Dismantle defectivemachines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Clean andlubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery andequipment. Maintain operations of systems such as pneumatic,hydraulic, ammonia, etc. Install and repair electrical apparatus,such as transformers, breakers, switches, receptacles, wiring, andelectronic components of machinery and equipment. Repair, replace,and maintain the physical structure of equipment. Operate cuttingtorches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Performpreventative maintenance on equipment. Interpret blueprints,schematics, and manuals. Work independently and be self-motivated.

Handle material handling equipment daily. Work in a fast-pacedenvironment with, in, and with industrial machinery.

MinimumRequirements:

Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends whennecessary. Capability to bend, twist, and squat as neededthroughout the shift. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds withoutreasonable assistance. Must be able to frequently push, pull,kneel, bend, and reach with both arms. Ability to work in arefrigerated environment, with production rooms kept at a constant32 degrees (and below in certain areas).
