Description Job Description Summary:
This is a full time position whose main purpose is to maintain the existing HFCA stormwater system infrastructure in accordance with the current Stormwater design project. This is executed at the direction of the of the Stormwater System & Maintenance Supervisor. The ability to help keep detailed records. Employee is under the direction of the Stormwater System & Maintenance Supervisor. Employee in this classification must be able to maintain their CDL and have the ability to perform the duties assigned. Essential Functions of the
Job:
Must be able to effectively be a team player
Possess excellent communication and customer service skills
The ability to be a coach and positively inspire your team
The ability to follow directions, and carry out required directions to plans given
Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
Proficient in construction equipment operation (mainly earth moving equipment & machinery)
Ensure that it is completed properly within a timely manner
Coordinate with management when scheduling yearly culvert pipe replacement and road repaving future projects.
During the winter months, snow removal will be a necessity
Competencies:
Verbal and written communication
Comprehensive knowledge of Stormwater BMP’s.
Ability to properly operate all equipment related to position.
Ability to promote and maintain positive work relations and communicate effectively with all HFCA staff and residents alike.
Work Environment:
Positivity is key. Work will be performed both indoors and outdoors during all seasons of the year. Shared duties between office and outside tasks. Work will occasionally require lengthy seat time in a machine or truck.
Physical Demands:
Physical requirement of the job and work include standing, walking, driving, lifting up to 70 pounds, overhead arm work and ability to withstand exposure to inclement, cold weather conditions for a few hours at a time.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma
A minimum of five (5) years’ experience with swale maintenance and stormwater projects.
Certifications or Licenses:
Possession of valid PA driver’s license and ability to drive standard shift vehicles
Class A CDL driver’s license a must Tanker Endorsement can be acquired
Environmentally sensitive road maintenance training
Any BMP/stormwater Certifications a plus The HFCA is an equal opportunity employer
