Your Role:
At EMD Electronics, the Maintenance Engineering Technician will support Maintenance and Cell Repair department activities to safely achieve production and quality goals. The Maintenance Engineering Technician will work closely with department supervisors, engineers, planners, maintenance crafts and cell repair operators. Review and update Procedures, Preventive Maintenance Task descriptions Initiate Management of Change (MOC) Initiate Shipping Authorities Prepare decontamination forms Facilitate Outage Planning meetings Participate in daily DRB/DIM meeting Support department Safety Program (BSP / ELSAS) Support department supervisors with daily operations as requested Day shift position with on-call responsibilities once every 4-6 weeks. Create, audit, and correct Process Orders in SAP Perform process calculations Coordinate railcar logistics Monitor SAP point-of-use and stockroom inventory and resolve discrepancies Maintain purchasing and procurement for stock items such as tools, weld consumables, weld gas and breathing air, etc.… Review and execute corrective actions resulting from monthly audits and inspections Perform site equipment surveys Perform minor dye penetrant and ultrasonic thickness (UT) testing Manage equipment refurbishment logistics Manage equipment (re)certifications Support Digi-X startup in Cell Repair Support Operational Excellence in
Cell Repair Who You Are Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of work experience in a mechanical, electrical, or welding role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Trade school certificate or participation in a union trade apprenticeship program Associates Degree in technical field Prior process chemical/industrial plant experience Fundamental knowledge of materials, pipe fittings, and hand/power tools including precision measuring instruments Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; SAP Ability to review and interpret P&ID’s, electrical single-lines, mechanical drawings Capable of working at heights using aerial work platforms/fall protection up to 60 feet Maintenance and/or chemical plant experience The Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
