DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP’s, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports any conditions or practices that may adversely affect employee safety or food safety/quality to management immediately. Ability to respond in an efficient and effective manner to urgent production needs related to equipment. Ability to read and understand diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications in order to disassemble repair, replace, rebuild, and install mechanical equipment. Basic understanding of a CMMS to support the maintenance function including review, execution and documentation of scheduled/unscheduled work on a daily basis. May utilize a CMMS on occasion. Monitor efficiency of, troubleshoot, repair, and perform basic machinery maintenance including equipment such as mixers, pasteurizers, homogenizers, pumps, fillers, packaging equipment, etc. Complete preventative maintenance requirements on all equipment. Creating and understand dismantling and rebuild procedures and process. Adjust all necessary components of equipment as needed. Demonstrate an ownership of equipment, processes, and facility. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow. Team player who aligns and upholds our values: Teamwork, Accountability, Innovation and Continuous Improvement and passion for customer and consumers. Attends and actively participates in safety meetings and trainings. Train new hires as required. Maintains regular and consistent attendance. EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent. Strong mechanical background with 2-3 years related experience) Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations in English. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
