Maintenance Technician Confidential Providence, RI 02903 MAINTENANCE

TECHNICIAN – PROVIDENCE, RHODE ISLAND

We are seeking a skilled full-time maintenance technician who is looking for a career in commercial property maintenance. As a key member of our facilities operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of multiple properties. Primary Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Respond to regular and after-hours emergency calls as required Record maintenance and repair information via management software in accordance with company policy Receive work assignments, plan tasks, obtain necessary tools and equipment, and complete assignments and paperwork in a timely manner. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of equipment being serviced and employ service procedures and techniques indicative of first-class work. Operate equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently, and maintain assigned equipment, tools, and uniforms. Keep the shop, equipment rooms, and common areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow operational and safety procedures, inspect building areas, and report deficiencies and suggestions for improvement to the Property Manager. Perform property-specific duties as assigned by the work order system and the Property Manager Manage/oversee third party vendors on building specific projects, generate competitive proposals, ensure work is completed satisfactorily. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required; valid driver’s license required; building trade curriculum at a recognized technical school or organization is a plus Knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use portable technologies for the logging and tracking of work activities 2-4 years of experience in building maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial property setting.
