Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities:

MPC is seeking a self-motivated experienced Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working with the Maintenance Department, Plant Manager and Production Supervisor to fulfill the day-to-day operational duties necessary to ensure a clean, safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Major Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot all facets of needs for the facility; Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, and Mechanical. Able to determine causes of operating errors or equipment failures and decide what to do about it, shows a logical approach to solving problems and proactively enlists help when needed Make routine daily rounds to check the operational readiness of building systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, vacuum systems, nitrogen systems, compressed air systems and lighting. Make routine daily rounds to confer with supervisors and machine operators to determine operational condition of the equipment in use. Report all issues and observations to the Plant Manager to determine course of action. Recognize and remedy or repair small mechanical or electrical problems as needed, reporting more complex situations to the Plan Engineering Manager for course of action Perform routine and special duties including cleaning, service, repairs, modifications and improvements to equipment and systems. Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled and enter all task related data in the preventive maintenance software program. Perform preventative and reliable maintenance tasks. Maintain the cleanliness and order of the maintenance workshop, associated tools and equipment. Raise quality concerns with management and troubleshoot to address issues. Work with manufacturing and management teams to identify possible areas for improvement in machine or manufacturing processes. Ability to read and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs & VFDs Performs general services, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance for manufacturing equipment, compressors, and general facility warehousing equipment Utilize all skillsets to ensure efficiency and uptime for safe operation of our facility. Working knowledge of OSHA. Responding to emergency maintenance calls for all areas in facility. Working knowledge of Schematics and Blueprints Ability to understand, interpret, read and write in English Strong ability to Troubleshoot equipment Ability to be flexible with work schedule

Preferred Competencies:
Electrical Equipment Principles:

Familiar with the principles of electricity and electrical power circuits and equipment, as well as the associated risks and safety measures

Fork Truck Proficiency:

Can safely operate and maintain an industrial fork truck, including inside a building and in tight spaces Bilingual Proficiency (English/Spanish): Can understand and communicate verbally and/or in written form effectively in both

English and Spanish Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED 5 Years or more of relevant vocational or technical training or equivalent work experience Pneumatics Experience 2-5 years

Mechanical Maintenance:

2-5 years Electrical Experience 2-5 years Fabrication experience Reliable Transportation (Required) Hourly wage commensurate of skills and experience

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged standing Able to lift 25 pounds Long Periods standing and walking. Working from elevations w/ Ladder, Lifts or Scaffolds Lifting maximum 50lbs Kneeling, Bending and squatting. Working Shifts of 8 to 10 hours, 5 days with some OT. Working alternative shifts or overtime with advance notification Work Location /

Travel Requirements:

Primary location is in Cranston, RI. Must have a good driving record and hold a valid driver’s license.
