We’re currently seeking a dependable, hands-on Apartment Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain the daily upkeep and functionality of our apartment community.
Position Summary:
The Apartment Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks across all areas of the property. This role focuses on general repairs, service requests, and property upkeep to ensure a safe, clean, and fully operational environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to maintenance service requests from tenants and management Perform general maintenance tasks including light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting Repair and replace appliances, fixtures, and hardware as needed Conduct routine inspections of units, common areas, and building systems Complete turnover of units including patching, painting, and minor repairs Maintain grounds and outdoor areas including trash pickup, pressure washing, and minor landscaping Assist with HVAC filter changes and basic troubleshooting (advanced repairs handled by specialists) Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment; report low stock to manager Ensure compliance with safety procedures and building codes Provide on-call support for after-hours emergencies on a rotating schedule
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in apartment, residential, or commercial property maintenance preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, and appliance repair Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently Strong communication skills and customer service mindset Must be organized, reliable, and able to prioritize tasks Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday Occasional weekend work and on-call rotation for emergencies
